Thanks for visiting my blog. I’m a writer based in Toronto and a Staff Writer at Jacobin Magazine. As an undergraduate I was Editor-in-Chief of Canada’s largest student newspaper and have since worked as a political staffer at Queen’s Park and for a federal Member of Parliament. From 2012-2013 I was a Masters student at the University of Toronto, where I studied ancient and modern political theory and the political economy of industrial societies. I was a candidate for the Ontario New Democratic Party in the 2014 provincial election.
I write about Canadian and international politics, religion, labour issues, philosophy, and the history of the democratic left. My writing has appeared in The Guardian, Canadaland, Maisonneuve, the New Statesman, The Tyee, Current Affairs, and others. I also co-host a weekly podcast about current events agitprop cinema.
